"My Sister's Place" is a spacious three-bedroom ranch structure with a spacious and updated kitchen, formal dining room, great living room with fireplace, finished basement, two-car garage, fenced-in back yard, and a front yard with attractive curb appeal. The home is located next to a busy shopping center with convenient access to public transportation located directly in front of the home. "My Sister's Place" can hold up to six women, two to a room. The period of time one can stay at the home will be 6 months to 1 year. The length of stay is determined by the participant's cooperation with her willingness to accept a structured living environment.

My Sister's Place is a home where women can relocate temporarily. The home will be a haven of nurturing, healing, and training for women going through traumatic changes in their lives. There will be a "family" type setting with the purpose to redirect their thinking towards a more fruitful path. Part of the goal is to help women break away from a vicious cycle of defeat and aimlessness. Providing women with training and a more supportive involvement with one another can help this.

   Another purpose for the home is to provide a structure that has been renovated, furnished, and professionally operated for women who have been abused physically and mentally. They will be given 6 months to a year to complete the program. During this time, they will undergo a development program to be restored back to a productive and fulfilling life within their community.
